Wild caught or captive bred?

What do you all think is the better crestie to buy? Wild caught or captive bred? I went to a pet store today and held both types. The wild caught was an adult. He was pretty tame. The captive bred one's were very young.

I bought a 20 gal tank today as well, so I'm about to get another herp. Probably another crestie, maybe an adult.

captive bred is ALWAYS better.... less chance of parasites and other infections for one thing, but a LARGER concern is that it helps keep wild critters in the wild...

I always buy captive bred whenever I can...

 

Captive bred are always better for the reasons oscar said.. but captive bred are all types of various different morphs, which you wont find on wild caught ones

I have no idea if they're not allowed to be imported. I wouldn't be suprised though. I'm in Georgia and kingsnakes are illegal to sell and own (according to my co-worker-former DNR captain). But... they are still sold. Just held a gorgeous one today. Anyway, the petshop owner has two that he says are imported. I'm tempted to buy one. Trying to figure out if I should :?
