What is their basking temp soposed to be? Is a cage 4feet long X 2-3 feet wide and 4 feet high a good size for an adult? Can I put a baby in a cage that big or would it freak out? I was thinking to build one out of plexiglass with a screen top would that work good? What kinda of supplement do they need? What do they eat? (I have read alot of different things...) If you have any good care sheets they would be nice as well... This site dosent have any
Is this a good care sheet? http://www.wnyherp.org/care-sheets/lizards/water-dragon.php What kind of substrate do you use?
Is this ok for substrate if fed in a separate container? http://www.reptilesupply.com/product.php?products_id=769 Instead of plexiglass I will use melamine so it dosent rub its nose on the glass/plexiglass...
The Water Dragon Bible - www.triciaswaterdragons.com or www.squidoo.com/waterdragons or just google Tricia's Water Dragons Good luck, ~Michelle
RE: Re: water dragon questions... OK, my replies are now imbeeded int he quote, whoops. They're under each of your questions. For substrate, I use organic soil with repti-bark over it & live plants to help keep the humidity up. I just feed him in the tank, but I put his worms in a shallow dish so the can't get away from him & dig down. ~Michelle
RE: Re: water dragon questions... water dragons like wax worms, but dont feed them too many, use them as a treat, they can get addicted like children do with sweets, they are the same kinda thing for water dragons lol
RE: Re: water dragon questions... http://www.squidoo.com/waterdragon/ Sorry my other links were bogus, lol...I'm horrible with remembering the exact wording! ~Michelle
