Well I just bought a bunch of superworms for my leopard geckos and they love them. I was wondering if they are an okay staple, or if they are like waxworms; addictive. I was also wondering if they turn into something else like mealworms do. At first I thought they were just "beefed up" mealies.

I know several breeders that use supers instead of mealies as a staple for their Leos. Superworms are less chitinous (is that a word?) than mealworms, making them easier to digest. And I am sure you noticed, they are much more active than mealies so most Leos will be much more tempted to eat them. You should have no problem if you are properly gutloading and dusting.

They pretty much do the same as mealies. They go through a pupae stage and then a beetle stage.
