Man's girlfriend gives python an opening to flee Associated Press Sept. 28, 2004 08:50 AM BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. - Keith Berg wants his Baby back. Baby is his Burmese python. But this Baby isn't so little. It's a 17-foot-long, 11-year-old snake. Berg says he noticed Baby was gone when his girlfriend left the bathroom door open in his Bay St. Louis, Miss., apartment. Berg feels Baby is a sweet girl. But some of his neighbors aren't taking any chances. They've decided to move out of the apartment complex until Baby is caught. Officials say there's no law against keeping giant snakes in the community. Police believe the big snake may still be in the apartment complex. But if it managed to slither outside, experts say it could be anywhere.
