AH ok but what I mean't to say about the shop is that he buys them cheap and then waits till they get bigger and then sells them (7-8 Weeks)
... thats still very wrong. buying them at that age is very bad for them. and him encouraging you to breed a 170g female is ludricous. please, please do not breed them, they are wayyyyy underweight, both the male and the female. it will effect them both adversley, especially the female. look at it from his point of view, hes getting cheap animals without doing the work himself. no person who knows about herps would reccomend breeding a tiny beardie like yours... again, im not trying to attack you, but it will be a huge mistake to breed these, for the animals welfare...
Even if as you say he will keep them for 7 weeks before he sells them, the point is the stress of moving them at 1 week old could be to much for them , and some or all could die.
Re: RE: Ovulating (?) Ovulation (?) Ihave reread page 3, and cant see where it says he waits till they are 7 weeks old? :?
RE: Re: RE: Ovulating (?) Ovulation (?) you put it on page 4, but that still doesnt answer the main points 1) your beardies are far too small to be bred 2) they need to be fed more, as they are far too small 3) your temps are too low (95F) 4) you are selling the babies far too young, the age the other guy sells them at is irrellevant. moving them at a week is going to make them stressed. again... these should not be bred, untill they are at least 450-500 grams, breeding takes ALOT out the female, and if she is bred at this weight, there is a high chance that your female will suffer.
RE: Re: RE: Ovulating (?) Ovulation (?) Like I said I won't breed i've stepped up the breeding. And i've got there birthdates wrong. there are 12 and 11 months. Sorry for all the confusion i've caused
Re: RE: Re: RE: Ovulating (?) Ovulation (?) uh where? and those weights are still far too small for 11/12 month olds. you need to be feeding them ALOT more. look at the growth charts i put in, they are the size of the average 4/5 month old. they need ALOT more food...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Ovulating (?) Ovulation (?) what I think I mean't to say was Like I said I won't be breed. I've stepped up the feeding
