I just introduced my beardies back together and he is jerking his head, showing his beard, biting her neck, and draging her by her neck. Is all of this normal?

    Thanks!!

Oh yes! Very Normal! hehe, those are all classic signs of mating. The head jerking and the showing his beard is what the male does to "show off" and impress the female. He's showing her how masculine and dominant he is. And the biting of the neck is an attempt to actually mate with her. What they will do is bite the neck and try to overpower and get on top of the female. It's all very normal! Just look out for some eggs in the next few weeks and find out info on what you need to do to take care of the eggs/hatchlings when the time comes! Good Luck!

that is really neat i would have guessed hes mad she was gone in the first place{jk} our iguana used to show off to me i think he liked me! he would bob his head and drop and fan his beard and i would rub it until he fell asleep, my mom said he was in love with me.! i said he just didnt get enough attention from asnyone else. he used to come into the kitchen and climb up my clothes and sit on my head, and he was my hat.

congrats on the love making with ur beardies:} i hope all goes well.
