    Hi,

Well, Hobo jumped onto the screen today and the big bulge she had 2 days ago isn't there. I guess this is a sign an egg was definitely laid. If she used the vermiculite how far down might she bury the egg? I went thru the very top area only, as well as a couple of other spots she's been hanging out around over the past week. Any suggestions?

She could go down as much as a couple of inches if it's deep enough, or she may lay it there right on the top...

Remind me again, what's your regular substrate in the enclosure?

Substrate is "bed-a-beast" in the tank, about 1 1/2' deep. She laid the first egg on top in the front corner. Vermiculite is in a bowl right beside the basking rock (it"s about 2' deep). Should we look for signs of digging ??? or will she cover it fairly well.

You'd probably be able to tell if she'd been in there... you'd see vermiculite laying outside the tub, the surface in the tub would be a lil uneven, etc...

But, keep hunting... if she's smaller than she was, she's dropped it somewhere :)
