You can buy just about anything online, but it sure doesn't make it all legal. I have worked for the US federal gov't and I can tell you pretty confidently that having a pet komodo would most likely be illegal unless you had a permit. Komodos are a very agressive and dangerous animal that if ever kept in a captive setting needs to be done by a professional.
thats a bad idea. and shouldnt be that expensive. they can get docile, but they can be very vicious at the time. their bite are somewhat poisonous, (bacteria) they need really big size. and they can be very dangerous at mating season.. so nope. they're from my country, i know what they look like. edit : they're CITES appendix 1, means no selling these things. that online shop were probably just a lie
Teiryklav, I think they should be more expensive (you're lucky, getting lizards for .02)! It is definitely illegal everywhere, they are kept in parks designated for them. They are also vicious and can kill you. Unless you handle them Steve Irwin style!
hey they're from my country too you know, komodo dragon varanus komodoiensis from the island of komodo.. yes they're illegal but they may not reach $100.000. just visit the island and find where you can buy them illegaly, maybe a 20000-50000 is enough.
