i have been reading lots of caresheets and i have heard from some that you should provide a humidity cycle where you mist the tank and then let it dry than mist it again, otherwise it says that the tank will breed bacteria. is this true or do you need to keep a constant humidity? thx

In my opinion you do not want constant humidity unless you are willing fully disinfect and clean the cage at least weekly. I've been cycling my two cresteds cages since October 2004 and have not seen any problems associated with humidity or anything for that matter.
