how do you make your iguana love you... my iguana will not let me handle it when i do he trys to run away the whole time. he is just a baby but somedays i hold him fine and then one day i wont have a chance too and its liek he forgets who i am and goes nuts.
hold him and do not let him go back into the tank until he is calm and relaxed. this will teach him that when he is good he will be returned. also when you have him out go to give him some watermelon or a sweet fruit as a treat. he will then learn to associate being good while he is out with being rewarded with a sweet treat. finally you can put a piece of cloth with your scent on it in his tank so he becomes accustomed to your scent
tried the cloth thing and that didnt work to good. but then right after i wrote this i went over to his tank and reached my hand in a picked him up fine. he likes to be able to walk around freely so ill hold him for a while then let him walk on my bed and then hold him more and hes fine now.
