I've heard that turtles and tortoises are among the most intelligent of all reptiles. Supposedly they can recognize individuals and can actually be taught simple behaviors.

Have any of you turtle/tortoise owners out there seen behavior that supports this? Do you think they know who you are? Also, do you think they may enjoy interacting with humans? Any stories you have would be great.

i can't comment on the turtle intelligence, but i do know pretty much all reptiles can recognize and remember a human figure. I'm pretty sure a turtle is A LOT smarter than my male leo (who thinks my finger is a superworm).
