Hey people, just bought and moved my children's python into a new 3ft x 1ft x 2ft tank today. We've installed a Zoo Med Ceramic Infrared heat emitter, at least 45 minutes ago, and so far no one can feel any heat whatsoever being emitted by this thing, its got a 3 month warranty, all power cords work etc. Its attached to a thermostat but that is set on a maximum of 28 degrees celcius, and believe me, it is NO way near that hot in there yet so it couldn't have kicked in yet.
Is there a charging or wait till warm time with these things? and if so, how long does it take to heat up. Snake is a little agitated, as this is the most space in a tank she's ever had before.
