Anyone that can help, I would greatly appreciate it. I have a new Curly-Tail, he is approximately 5 1/2 inches long and have had for about one week. My friend went to stop him from hurling himself down a flight of stairs and he broke his tail. He lost the first 1 1/2 from the tip down. It was not off completely at first but it is now. I rinsed him off (at the tip) and used a bandage over the end to keep the substrate out for now. What else do i need to do? Is there anything that I can do? He has buried himself again and I am worried about him. This just happened this evening.

Cindy, don't worry. A lot of reptiles break off their tail as a defense mechanism. If the animal feels threatened or is physically caught (by the tail) it will drop it's tail. A new tail will begin to grow back shortly, however the new tail is never as nice looking as the original, but your animal is in no harm.
