I've heard of people using it for their bearded dragons. Has anyone tried it for their Uromastyx?

I would think it would be less natural than sand, or even birdseed. I was just curious about this as I was going to try it with my bearded dragons.

    RE: Yesterday

    It's recycled newspaper pellets...

I've been thinking about it and I don't think it's a good idea, anyway. Not for the bearded dragons, either. People freak out about any particulate substrate and then some say "yesterdays news is great!" But that wouldn't be digestable at all.

I think I'm going to try the hard-packed sand/dirt method for all of them.

I think I have used this product as my cat's kitty-litter right after they were fixed (becuase it is cleaner and wont cause infections in woulds) I personally hated it, becuase it pretty much turns to mush when it gets wet, and creates a real smelly nasty mess. Uro's do release a small amount of water when the go to the washroom, so i should think that it would be a messy option. If you want something different go with millet or tile.

i think it might be okay
i use it for my ferrets
but i dont think there would be a problem with impaction because it would probably be really hard to ingest
