Ive been noticing no matter the amount of crystals i dump inside the enclosure, they all dry and wither within 2-3. If this about the normal lasting time of them? Or are they actually getting eaten that fast? I would of thought a half cup would last longer than 2-3 days i figured i could get atleast a week out of it.
The dubias actually consume the entire crystal.....if you were to leave some in a cup on your kitchen table, it would take weeks to evaporate. The dubias consume allot of moisture, that is why i substitute with potatoes. I give my colony about 1 cup of crystals per week with 1/2 of a potatoe. Hope that helps.
Thats actually a good idea, I keep fresh greens, and orange slices with them . That with a little crystals should suffice. Thanks for the advice.
