hi.. just wondering if any1 can tell me the best way to treat logs that are going to be put into my snake enclosures... im too much of a cheapskate to buy logs from the pet besides i have bush all around me so its easier to just grab them off the ground but i just want to make sure i have killed any bugs or bacteria on them before putting them in with my snakes.. so if any1 can tell me the best way to acheive that it would be appreciated....thanks...hendrix6666

I think you should soak them in warm bleech solution for about 10 mins (a tinyyyy amount of bleech) then stick them in the oven for about 30 mins on around 180 or something like that. Thats what I did and my wood seems fine. You just have to make sure it's hardy wood mind, as it can get weak after all this!

Take a large pot, and fill it with water while the log is inside, and then boil it for half an hour
