my crested gecko was put down today at the vet because of his injury, i posted something already about his broken jaw, but the vet told me it wasnt broken he had a lack of calcium so it turned inside out and he couldnt eat so he would of eventually starved to death, so i guess its good that they put him down instead of making him suffer.
I think im gonna try a snake now, can anyone give tell me what snakes are easy to take care of and would make a good pet?

    RIP Shammy

I am very sorry to here about you crested gecko. A good starter snake could be a kingsnake or a rosy boa. A very easy snake to care for is the garter snakes, but these snakes are not the easiest to handle. A small species of snake that would be easy to handle and take care of is a ring neck snake (great colors) they are only about 12 inches and eat insects.

    There are also corn snakes

Sorry to hear about Shammy. I've lost a few in the past as well and it's never easy. All you can do is your best and if that isn't enough then allow their suffering to end. Sounds like you did the best you could based on your vets feedback.
