So I figured I'd give everyone an update on my collection. About a month ago or so I purchased a male Sarasin's Gecko from a breeder in Winnipeg. My original intention was to breed New Caledonian geckos, but Saras are rare in Canada. In fact, the breeder claims he was the only person in Manitoba to keep this species. They're pretty much the same care wise as a Crested Gecko, however this species is a bit larger. This picture illustrates the size as compared to my wallet: Yesterday my collection got a bit bigger as well, as I purchased this female Gargoyle Gecko from a store. They kind of disappointed me, as when i asked what they were feeding her, they said four crickets a day. When i got home I immediately feed her some banana-flavoured Repashy, which she eagerly devoured! Anyway that's just what I've been up to the past couple weeks, enjoy!
Nice Rhacs! I just going into New Caledonian species myself, and I'm hooked! I just picked up a male tricolor harlequin crested male, and I already have a beautiful dark female picked out for him!
Ya, I was going to get a Leachy, but I'm pretty sure I heard my wallet let out a small cry when I saw how much they are lol
I just bought a pair of Cresties too, female will most likely be gravid when I get them. But the guy I'm getting them from is putting them in hold for me until the end of April, when I'm done classes for the term. What do you think? Get my herpetology degree in addition to my Bachelor of Education?
Heck yes! I'm going for a zoology degree, and then hopeful going on to vet school. Orgo 2 is kicking my butt though so we'll see how far I get lol
