Strange things happen when I get bored. And so I bring you...reptidoodles. These are some magnet thingies from like...two and a half years ago. You will probably have nightmares about that creepy "beardie" (if you can even call it that) on the bottom of the pile there... Roaches need love too. It's.....an eye. Meh. Nom nom nom. And...I can't resist posting this one, too, even though it's not a "doodle." The stuck up art snob in me wouldn't let me post the above without some sort of proof that I can, in fact, do a better job if I actually try. Heh. I apologize.
Haha those are awesome, I particularly like the old leo with the cane and the question mark, haha. Fun!
After some discussion in another thread, I'm extending an invitation to post your own "Reptidoodles" here. Even if you don't think they're good, we'd love to see your reptile related artwork of all mediums and talent levels! Don't be shy. =)
So not very reptile related but some artwork I did a number of years ago (wow time flies!) My cat Merlyn under a chair on my back deck... (color pastel on brown paper... this was my 1st foray into pastels...) And Here is a made up Angel-Devil monkey I did in response to all the clone media... (this is black pen on white paper using stippling... took a WHILE to do, lol) and this one was what I did directly after 9/11 (this is charcoal on white paper... 2nd attempt at charcoal, it won me a couple of awards but it was really the significance of it to me doing it while dealing with all of the emotions of that time with my Uncle passing in WT2 and my mother being in the city working in Battery Park, just being a New Yorker around that time was very... I'd say emotional but it's not like crying and being sad all the time, it was very patriotic and coming together to rebuild... just evoked a lot of emotions in a lot of people) anyway... lol, here's my fireman
Lauren: Those are...epic. O.O I really love the fireman, partially because I can't draw people worth crap, but mostly because I completely understand what you mean about 9/11 being an "emotional" time. I was actually on an airplane that day, and had a very unique and eye-opening experience. Even though I was just a kid, (I was only ten.) it was definitely one of those things that defines who you are and how you see the world. But...I digress. You are very talented. =D Shanna: I also am stuck in the cartoony crap zone, but to each his own, right? Let's see some of your stuff! =D geckolover: Please feel free to post some stuff!
a recent lil sketck of my new baby crestie ^w^ not the best but still cute next is my cat thomas i drew when i was bored one day not to long ago for my art class to boost my grade... and lastly my unfinished tiger
A ferret pic i drew. I have tried to draw reptiles before but i suck XD All the drawings on this sight are fantastic. Well done
thank u i think thats the only reptile drawing that came out right lol my other one i have is my male banded gecko in his water dish
nothing new recently, here are some older pictures. newer dragon one is at the bottom of the post made this when i was still new to watercolors, made the shadows way too dark and nothin blended well and a quick color pencil drawing of ethen as a dragon and this one of one of my rat girls and something recent and a bit more realistic, just a dragon thing living in a dirt hole
shanna, I love the dragon in coming out of the whole. I have tried to draw dragons before, but they never turn out right. I have even read books about drawing them, but nothing seems to work. anyways, those are awesome pictures.
thanks. i always base my dragons off of horses and lizards lol. most of those how to books are full of crap XP my croc skinks have helped me so much when drawing thicker dragons with bulky heads, still alot to learn though and ive got the issue where nearly all my drawings face the same way lol
