so ive put the supers into their own containers.
i have the ten gal all set up. (all under my bed hidden from mom lol)

just a couple ?'s before i have a whole bunch of beetles and dont know what to do:]

how long do they generaly take to lay eggs?
and how long should i expect them to hatch?

oh and would an old shoe box be okay to put the unhatched eggs in?

Dont expect any breeding until all of your beetles are fully black in color.

incubation will depend on your husbandry... when you see babies (VERY small) remove the beetles to a new tray.

for decent results you will need many beetles (30+).

    That should do well,
I wouldn't feed the first generation too extensively, put as many as you can aside for breeding again and then start feeding once you've got an established colony.
As said above, just leave the eggs where they're laid (you probably won't see them) and then remove the adults when they hatch.
I've tried several times and never quite got it right, but Im doing it again pretty soon so fingers crossed.
Just wondering what your using to seperate the supers?
