new monitor lizard discovered in Philippines

my dad told me about that right after he heard. they are so cute. i wonder how friendly they are, or if they will hit the pet trade in the next decade or so?

 

I'm not sure I think they are trying to do breeding attempts to conserve the species in the wild so prob wont be in the pet trade for a while.

 

that just means that there will be alot of research on their care if they ever become house pets
