I'm trying to find someone that breeds and sells desert iguanas. I am looking into setting up a breeding colony myself but have not been able to find any breeders thus far. If anyone has any info please post here or send me a PM as soon as you can. Thanks!

Actually, the desert iguanas are cute, if they're the ones I'm thinking of. They don't get real big like the green iguanas, only reaching about 18" or so.

They're smaller than that even. And they're for observational studies at the university. They won't be harmed or anything, thankfully, I hate those kinds of experiments. I can't find anywhere that sells them.

The only time I've ever seen one for sale was in a local pet store a couple of years ago.. But if I do spot any for sale, I'll let you know.

I'll ask a couple of dealers I know too if they can get hold of any.

The only place I found them was a breeder over at the Desert Iguana group on Yahoo...and he wasn't going to start breeding until later this year...oh, a friend of mine found 1 in Penn. only I'd have to go get it mysself since the guy refused to ship! Not happening!
