I got a red heat light for my Leopard Gecko and Corn snake, since nights have been colder here this time of the year. I have a question on them working with my UTHs, I measure the substrate and it is about 5 degrees cooler then what the thermostat says, why is this? I do have the lights plugged into the thermostat with the UTHs, is this the right way to do it, or should I plug the lights into the wall?
