Which do you prefer? Kings or Milks? Also please explain why. I like milks for their colours and Kings for their immunity to rattler venom.

I've not really had MUCH dealings with milks, although i have found them to be somewhat less fiesty than kings. Although i do love my king, even though he can be fiesty from time to time, ESPECIALLY around feeding time!

I have a milk and never had a king but the colors win me over and the resemblence to a coral makes it cool. I put my money where my vote is.

Milksnakes actually are a species of kingsnake. They share the same immunity to venom.

Wow! i never knew that. Ithought Kings were Lampropeltis getula sp. and Milks were Lampropeltis Triangulum sp. Doesn't that mean they are in the same family but different Species?

kings and milks are technically just different variations of the same snake although i do find kings to have much more attitude which wins me over :)

Lampropeltis is a genus, not a family. So kings and milks are are just different species of the kingsnake genus:

    lampropeltis zonata
    lampropeltis pyromelana
    lampropeltis mexicana
    lampropeltis ruthveni
    lampropeltis getula
    lampropeltis triangulum

I think that's all of them.
