So im SO excited I had a crested years ago when i first got into herps, but its been a long time so i was so excited when my friend bred out some really nice babies and sold me one. I brought him home yesterday, he is bigger and more rugged than i was expected since he is only 3 weeks old. He hasnt eaten yet - but im sure he will, he has been eating great at her house. If things go well with this guy i will be buying another one soon, plus a Gargoyle gecko since i have ALWAYS really wanted one. Ok - here are a couple pics i snapped when he was in a kritter keeper before i put him in his cage, and a couple of his cage...once he relaxs and is out more in his cage i will get some more picures. According to my friend he is a harlequin flame pinstripe. Now time to think of a name....
One SUPER cute crestie, love the colours, bet they will be even better when adult. That's a nice tank as well, he will love that once he settles in. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah i cant wait to see the colors as he ages...if you look closely you can already see the colors are pretty intense, its hard to capture them on camera. Thanks for looking!!!! Cant wait till april when i get the garg....
I know - i was so suprised at the size, i was expecting him to be much smaller. My friend said that the other clutches she has are not nearly as big - the eggs on the first clutch were just larger, she has had one hatch out from a second clutch and she reports that the hatchling is not nearly as big as this guy.
Hey Mim. Good to see someone I know. I used to post here under another name, but then I just lurked of and on. Congrats on your new little guy. Best of luck with him/her. I wish I could keep all of the cresteds I hatched this year.
Hey Ratsnake! Glad to see you on this forum - its one of my favorites. It used to be a heck of a lot busier but there was an issue where the site shut down temporarily and everyones passwords and info got lost, so we lost a ton of members. Im hoping that the numbers will keep increasing! Good you have you here :-D
