Our green Iguana's tail is looking like it is drying up and ready to drop off - the last 6" or so. Is this normal? What could cause it? He is like an acrobat in his cage and sometimes falls off his post, but he is never handled roughly. Could someone help us with this?

Its possible he injured his tail and it will drop. Though, best to bring him to a vet to make sure his health is okay. If you notice anything that slightly resembles an infection, get him to a vet experienced with iguanas asap for amputation and treatment.

Yeah, if im not correct, iguana tail droppings arent uncommon and arent life threatening unless of course, what fyreflyx said, an infection begins, you have to bring him to the vet
