I've actually had to keep my mealie colony in a single bin for several generations...so...yeah there's a large mix of beetles, worms, and pupae. Unfortunately, they're almost done eating the food.

So my question is this: How do I switch the substrate without getting rid of the eggs? Any help? Thankx

just strain the mealworms and beetles off the substrate and transfer them to a new container.

If you want the current eggs to hatch just keep the old substrate until hatch.. grow them large enough to strain.. then transfer them to your main container with worms and beetles.
