I have ran a warm bath for my water dragon let him swim alittle then when i take him out he begins to gape as if he is breathing heavily is this natural?
How warm was the bath? Gaping usually has to do with temperature regulation, so maybe if the water was too warm he felt a little overheated when moved to cooler air...? Keep on eye on him for any other signs of illness (mucous in the mouth and nostrils, clicking or popping when breathing, etc.), but if it was an isolated event I would probably chalk it up to stress or rapid temperature changes.
