Whats up all. Just wanting to know your favorite band. Its a boring summer day in hot hot Arizona and I have nothing better to do. Mine would have to be Metallica. They started around the 1970's and recently ended their farewell tour. I was lucky enough to catch them passing through Arizona. They have 5+ albums (not sure of all of them) with at least two songs on every album being hits on the radio. Genre: Heavy Metal. Favorite songs: Fade to black, One, Sanitarium, Seek and destroy, The Unforgiven, and the Unforgiven II. A lot of people now adays think they are sell outs and 'posers' and other new generation words that kids think of because they have no real lives! Woah sorry for that i kinda got into it. Anyways, please tell me some of your favorite bands/songs. More info: www.metallica.com
I really do not have a single favorite, but here are a few that I have a real appreciation for. The Beatles Pink Floyd Steely Dan Allman Brothers Bob Marley Crosby, Stills, Nash and sometimes Young Jimi Hendrix Jimmy Buffet Nirvana Pearl Jam Soundgarden (Chris Cornell can WAIL!!!) Fugazi The Doors The Ramones I could go on and on, and that does not even touch the Blues Greats like Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, T-Bone walker, etc.
I used to like Metallica, but I think I must be getting old, I don't like the noise. I love the Bee Gees, CCR, Nickelback, Godsmack, Joe Walsh, norah jones, Tom Jones, Evanescence, Creed.
Queen Disturbed Phil Collins some elton john nickleback red hot chilli peppers and loads others i cant rember...
My tastes tend to change alot based on mood, but my staples would be: Korn Zeppelin AC/DC Deftones Smashing Pumpkins Pearl Jam Tori Amos (dirty little secret) "They started around the 70s" Well, close. Early 80s. 1983 was their first album. And now, 11 albums and still going...? Like Janice, I used to be a big Metallica fan. But that tailed off after the Black Album, their last good album. But man, what used to be.
