Ok a while back i had bought 100 crix to try and start to breed them. they were adults when i bought them so the females started to lay eggs right away. i kept a dish with wet dirt in with them for 3 days and kept it moist the whole time. once i took the dish out i kept it warm at about 85 degrees and kept it wet. its been over 2 weeks now and i thought they would of hatched by now. have i done anything wrong? thanks
depending on your temps, it can take longer.. I think the last we hatched were in the mid 80's and took about a month, you also have to leave them some food on the floor and a way for them to get out of the soil bin and to the food..... we set up egg cartons as a ladder out and down to the food.
oh really? i didn't realize it would take so long. everyone else i asked said it would take 2 weeks. i'll just wait and see then, thanks. oh yea and i do have it set up like you said with the egg cartons, just gotta be patient i guess. thanks
