columbian rainbow boa

i just got a columbian rainbow boa i did it a water dish and stuff but im concerned the water dish may be too deep the snake keeps going to the bottom of the dish can it breathe down there should i empty it a little so it cant submerge totally

 

I wouldn't suggest having really deep water but the snake's not going to purposely drown itself. it needs to be deep enough to drink from and deep enough to bathe in. Don't worry

 

most snakes can make themselves float or sink so dont worry congrats on the new crb

 

You may also want to double check your temps, humidity levels, and loook very closely for any mites on the snake. Sometimes a sake will soak because it is too hot or has something irritating it.
