not fruit, but yes they do enjoy some veggies. i know that colombians can be fed mashed potatoes as long as there is so salt added to them

fruit can be given as a treat now and then, will usually lead to very runny poop. They are omniverous so insents, rodents, fruits and vegies should be a part of their diet.

There seems to be much confusion about this in the reptile community. Columbian tegus are carniverous. It is the Argentine tegus that are omnivorous.

Quote from Agama International's website (they are a large breeder of tegus) "Argentine tegus do not only eat meat as the Colombian tegus do, but also a lot of fruits, vegetables, cat-foods, and breads. If your tegu does not eat anything besides meat products, it is most likely a Columbian tegu of some sort."

Thanks for clearing that up. I was under the impression that almost all Tegus were omniverous.

You want to be careful with cooked egg. I have heard of several people who used cooked (scrambled & boiled) eggs as part of the tegus regular diet, after which the tegus would refuse anything but egg.
