i recently read on this about using terracota pots to make hides. well last night i went out and bought 2 pots and 1 dish that pots sit on. i took a hammer and knocked (or attempted to knock) one hole in each. well one pot got a 2in. by 1in. hole in it. the other broke into two pieces. the dish got a 2in. by 1in. hole in it. i then put the dish in with my baby leos and they both ran into it and haven't come out yet. i put the cave like pot and the other pot in with my adult leo. they absolutely love it. they look great. and i got all three for only 2 dollars. they achieve the same effect as the expensive hides at any pet store for a fraction of the price.

I know a lot of people use those. We did something similar with terracotta pots for out ratsnakes. It's a great way of recycling pots that break by accident as well.
