i'm debating between these two things, i realize they are complitely different and require completely different equipment to house them, i would like to hear some pro's and conn's of keeping each species, if i where to get them they would be housed in a 46 gallon live planted tank, (see the enclosure form for my project), i am prepaired to modify the enclosure to suits each species need after i decide on what one to go with. (pictures would be great!)

this thread was also posted in amphebian forum.

Although Anoles may be cheap themselves, their fill care can get to be expensive. Usually anoles are less than 10 dollars but taking care of their needs can reach somewhere between 150-200 dollars. Are you willing to make the commitment to anoles? are you willing to spend time and money for their needs? You should research their care and huspandry carefully and then make your decision.
You should read this caresheet breifly explaining their care.

By the way, their name is spelled Anole. The Genus is Anolis

yeah, i've read both care sheets for the animals, i don't mind spending money to care for the species, right now i have invested over 1k into my saltwater tank equipment, so 200 seems cheap in a way

ehh could someone fix my spelling error? hehe

I've fixed it for you

Like already stated, anoles are expensive, but if you're willing to pay for them, i think that anoles would be a great idea. Pro's - make a GREAT display pet, and would go nicely into a naturalistic setup.. i also like how they can change colours. The only con i can think of (which is NOT a con for me) is they can't really be handled. I know for some people this is what they don't like about anoles, but the bottom line is, it stresses them out.

Over here in the anole forum, you're going to have a pretty biased opinion, but putting all that aside, IMHO, i'd really go for the anoles. Don't get me wrong, Dart frogs are great, i just find feeding them with the fruit flies a pain in the behind lol.

Hope all this helps, if you have any questions at all about the care of anoles, feel free to ask!

    Luke
