albino corns

    i have a juvenile albino cornsnake and i have been wondering how common it is. it is very light pink and regular pink with red eyes. it looks awesome. how coomon is abinism

    It depends on what you want to know it is common in....
    The albino gene is pretty rare in nature, unless the animals is bred for that gene. You will rarely ever see an albino animal in the wild because it is technically a genetic deficiency. An albino animal can not take long periods of exposure to the sun and has pretty much no camoflague abilities.
    In the pet trade on the other hand people have bred and in-bred animals to increase the chances of two parents producing an albino baby. To some the albinos and due to the fact that they are harder to produce they call more money when they are sold. A higher sale price means that more people are going to try and breed that specific trait.
