Hey everybody! I'm getting a snake soon, and was recently looking at heating options. My dad doesn't want to use a heat mat (I'm neutral), So I wanted a heat lamp/bulb that would give little to no light. Or light that I can sleep with. I was planning on getting this: http://www.petsmart.com/reptile/hea...nBcH6LUGvAaRl_61-yVmxor_emR6g?var_id=36-14808
(Exo Terra Heat Glo Infrared Heat Lamp/Bulb)

    Opinions?

Also, I am getting a Brooks Kingsnake, so what watts (50w, 75w, exc...) would be appropriate. Or would it not matter because I'm using a thermostat.
Finally, would the heat from a 75w bulb heat the ground of the tank, if it was placed on the tank lid of a three feet high tank. (I thing it was three feet tall)
