I've been working with my buddy off and on for about 2 weeks and we have finally finished a 6'x2'x2' for one of his boas. It came out so nice. I wish it was mine.
tile is acually very sanitary and easy to clean. just make sure you seal the grout or it will stain and hold bacteria.
Thanks for the compliments. It's actually not real tile, but shower surround. It looks just like real tile though and is completely water proof.
Judging from the hole on top, I'd say the ledge is there to get closer to the heat lamp positioned right over it
See your point, they are a little lazy aren't they? But yah, I'd imagine that's what it's for, if not.. then it's just to create more usable space.

Thanks again for all the compliments. Unfortunitely this is my 3rd creation and it's not mine, but my friend's. Built from my designs and a lot of my help, it houses a BCI. You bet boas use that shelf and I'm sure a lot of other snakes would too. They love to bask up there. I wouldn't mind selling these, but they are for local pickup only. They kinda weigh a ton.
