I took this "yellow uro" in from work as it was declining in health. It came in labeled as a yellow uro and had what appeared to be a scratch on its back just above the back legs. Now that I have him I have noticed possible tail rot...can someone confirm or deny this for me and if so, how to treat it??
Well,i do own multiple uromastyx however I have never experienced tail rot, but what I do know about it is, it usually looks black. I have heard of something called dry gangrene. I recommend emailing Doug Dix at www.deerfernfarms.com he is probably the most knowledgeable person I know on uromastyx. If you get a response from him, you likely will, keep us informed so we can continue our own education.
