Hey guys I'm stuck between two geckos and I can't decide which one I want to buy. Its between a crested gecko and a GARGOYLE GECKO. If you were in my position which would you choose and why? Which is easier to take care of? Any experiences with these geckos? I'm new to geckos and need some resources.
    Thanks!
    -David

you'd get more reply if you put that in the crested forum, anyway, they're both rhac. i don't know garg care, but i know crested is fairly easy and i think garg is too. garg is just bigger and a bit more exotic. so, garg :(

    Hi David,
Although I've never kept cresties or gargoyles, they seem to be easy to keep.
Both need the same sort of setup more or less in regards to size of cage and temperature.
Cresties need a slightly higher humidity than gargoyles.
Cresties eat more meat/insects than garg's.
Gargoyles are generally smaller than Cresties at around 5"to 7" where cresties reach up to 10".
There are two very good caresheets to be found in the "caresheet" link at top of page.
    If fact here it is
Caresheet both are listed, so check them out.
    Hope this helps.

yes, it didnt really hurt at all, but it bled a bit. i dont hold mine too much because i enjoy watching her more so she isnt used to people holding her. she gives fair warnings though and shows off her teeth if she isnt in the mood for me to mess with her. but im sure not all gargs are that bad. mine is just a bit of a diva, she is very picky about everything and its either her way or the highway

Oo, very tough choice! Both are awesome! Care is very similar, too. It would be more about which one you like better in looks. I honestly can't decide! I love how cresties change color, but gargs are awesome.

Alright I think I've decided to just roll with a crestie for now amd see how that works out and maybe in the future get a garg. Man gargs are so dope tho! Ahhh!

    Ok crestie for sure!

this might be a little biased, but i think crestedes are the best reptiles to keep. they have simple eating and housing requirements, and you can go as much or as little as you like. you can keep them on a simple paper towel set-up, or go elaborate and get a nice 18x18x24 naturalistic set-up. but the point is it's all up to you.
