    :lol: wooohooo I got up this morning and pulled the lid off my deli cups to mist the soil...and I had baby crickets! :) BUT now what do I do? Do I keep them in the deli cup...there so tiny..can I feed them the Flukers Orange Cube complete cricket diet? If not what do I feed them? If I don't leave them in a deli cup can they go into a tank with oatmeal as beeding? Sorry for all the questions

    When my crickets are tiny, I try to keep them warm and provide them with plenty of moisture that won't drown them. They are on a heat mat that stays around 90, I offer them dog food and dandilion greens either dried or fresh that I pick from my garden. The smaller crickets really seem to like the dandilions. I also have made a cricket waterer that they seem to do well with. I usually put a couple paper towels in the tank for the tiny baby crickets to walk on and hide in. When they grow to 1/4 or bigger, I will usually clean the tank and give them egg crates.

    When you say dandelion greens, do you mean just the leaves? When I do get a leo I plan on breeding the crickets and mealworms, and feeding dandelions would be so convenient as I have tons that grow in the yard :)

    Sorry for the late response;

    Yes, I go out into my yard, and pick organically grown, pesticide and fertilizer free dandilions. Then, I wash them. If fresh ones are available, I give the crickets the amount I believe they will eat. Otherwise, I give them dried dandilion leaves. I pick them (or my mom picks them for me when she weeds) and dry the extra leaves by putting them onto a tray in the car which is sitting in the sun. I put a newspaper over the leaves to protect them from the sun. On a nice sunny day, if I get them in before noon, they will usually be dry by the evening. I store them in ziplock bags or other airtight containers.
