I was just feeding my bearded dragon and I came across a while cricket. Or maybe it wasn't even a cricket. I took a few pictures, left it, and kept feeding him. Then I found another! Might they be albinos? Here's one in comparison to the normal crix: And another one... This one seems to be finishing a molt. What could they be?
I had those same things a while back, and I think the other crix ate them or they turned brown, Either way they disapeared after about a week.
how do u not notice its shed in the last pic? thats what they look like at their last shed before becoming adults
Yep, those are freshly molted crix. Some might argue that they are more nutritious since the chitin hasn't hardened yet so they digest easier. I'm not sure I totally believe that, but it is somewhat logical.
I'm now finding white roaches too! (Crix are GONE, thank goodness!) And orange-ish ones. They look pretty cool. I wish they stayed like that.
